JEE advanced 2024 results declared: Step-by-step guide to check your scorecard

The long-awaited moment for thousands of aspiring engineers has arrived. On Sunday, June 9, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras announced the results of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2024. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now access their scorecards by logging in with their registration details on the official JEE Advanced website at jeeadv.ac.in.

How to check your JEE advanced 2024 scorecard

To ensure that you can quickly and easily access your results, follow this step-by-step guide:

  1. Visit the Official Website:
  • Open your web browser and go to jeeadv.ac.in.
  1. Locate the Scorecard Link:
  • On the homepage, search for the link that directs you to the scorecard. This link will typically be prominently displayed, given the significance of the results.
  1. Login to Your Account:
  • Click on the scorecard link. You will be redirected to a new page where you must enter your login credentials. These include your registration number, date of birth, and any other information requested by the website.
  1. View Your Scorecard:
  • Once you’ve entered the correct details, click ‘Submit.’ Your scorecard will then appear on the screen.
  1. Verify and Download:
  • Carefully verify all the details mentioned on the scorecard, including your name, roll number, and the marks you’ve secured. Once you’re satisfied with the accuracy of the information, download the scorecard.
  1. Print Your Scorecard:
  • It’s advisable to take a printout of your scorecard for future reference, particularly for use during the counseling and admission processes.

Key highlights of JEE advanced 2024 results

This year’s results bring exciting news for many candidates. A total of 48,248 candidates have successfully qualified for admission to the prestigious IITs, with 7,964 of them being female candidates. This marks another step forward in promoting gender diversity within India’s premier engineering institutions.

IIT Madras, which conducted the examination, has also released the cutoff marks for different categories. This crucial information will help candidates gauge their performance relative to the competition and understand their chances of securing a seat in their preferred IIT.

All-India toppers and zone-wise achievers

The JEE Advanced 2024 results also include the much-anticipated all-India toppers’ list and the zone-wise toppers’ list, along with the marks secured by these outstanding candidates.

One of the standout performers this year is Dwija Dharmeshkumar Patel from the IIT Bombay zone, who has emerged as the top-ranked female candidate. Dwija secured an impressive 322 out of 360 marks, earning her an all-India rank of 7. Her achievement is a testament to her hard work and dedication, setting an inspiring example for future aspirants.

Other notable candidates in the top 10 include:

  • Aditya (IIT Delhi zone)
  • Bhogalpalli Sandesh (IIT Madras zone)
  • Rhythm Kedia (IIT Roorkee zone)
  • Putti Kushal Kumar (IIT Madras zone)
  • Rajdeep Mishra (IIT Bombay zone)
  • Koduri Tejeswar (IIT Madras zone)
  • Dhruvi Hemant Doshi (IIT Bombay zone)
  • Alladabona SSDB Sidhvik Suhas (IIT Madras zone)

What’s next: JOSAA 2024 counseling

With the JEE Advanced results now available, the next step for successful candidates is the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counseling process. According to the official schedule, the online counseling process for IITs, National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other centrally-funded technical institutions will begin on Monday, June 10, 2024.

During the JoSAA counseling, candidates will be able to choose their preferred institutes and programs based on their ranks and scores. It’s essential for candidates to carefully consider their options and preferences, as the choices made during this process will play a significant role in shaping their academic and professional futures.
