Sibling relationships are often a blend of mischief, occasional squabbles, and shared memories, and the bond between Kajol and her sister Tanishaa Mukerji exemplifies this dynamic beautifully. In a recent interview with Bombay Times, Tanishaa Mukerji opened up about her relationship with Kajol and her brother-in-law, Ajay Devgn, shedding light on the close-knit family ties that define their interactions.

Tanishaa reminisced about their father’s endearing nickname for her and Kajol, likening their relationship to that of the iconic cartoon characters Tom and Jerry. According to Tanishaa, she was considered the mischievous “Jerry,” while Kajol played the role of “Tom,” always in pursuit. This playful comparison underscores the loving yet spirited nature of their sibling relationship.

In her candid discussion, Tanishaa described Kajol as more than just a sister; she regards her as a maternal figure. “Kajol is like a mother to me,” Tanishaa shared. “She has always been there for me, guiding me through life’s ups and downs. Her strength and resilience have been a source of inspiration.”

Tanishaa’s admiration for Kajol extends to her brother-in-law, Ajay Devgn, who she considers a father figure. Reflecting on Ajay’s influence, Tanishaa noted, “Ajay has taught me the importance of being considerate and kind to everyone around me.” His wisdom and demeanor have clearly left a lasting impression on her.

The former Bigg Boss contestant further acknowledged the role that both Kajol and Ajay have played in her personal growth. “It takes a village to raise a child, and I had a beautiful village,” she said, highlighting the supportive environment provided by her sister and brother-in-law.

Addressing the comparison between her own career and Kajol’s illustrious journey in Bollywood, Tanishaa was both humble and insightful. “I can’t look at my sister and me and compare. I don’t even compare myself to other actors, so why would I compare myself to my sister?” she said. Tanishaa emphasized that every actor has their unique path and that she respects the individual journeys of herself and her sister.

Tanishaa acknowledged that Kajol’s career began at a young age, noting, “She started when she was 16, and she took on responsibilities quite early in her life.” This early start, combined with Kajol’s dedication and hard work, has contributed to her success in the industry. Tanishaa humorously pointed out that Kajol’s strictness has often been reminiscent of their mother, Tanuja, though she added that Tanuja remains more of a friend to her.

In her reflections, Tanishaa also touched upon the differences in their parenting styles and personal lives. While Kajol’s strict approach has shaped her into a formidable figure in the industry, Tanuja’s approach has been more relaxed, allowing for a unique balance within the family dynamics. “Tanuja is like a friend, while Kajol is strict like a mother,” Tanishaa said, illustrating the diverse roles her mother and sister play in her life.

Overall, Tanishaa Mukerji’s revelations offer a glimpse into the deep and multifaceted relationships within her family. Her respect and love for Kajol and Ajay Devgn are evident, reflecting a bond built on mutual support and shared values. As Tanishaa continues to navigate her own path in the entertainment industry, it’s clear that the guidance and lessons from her sister and brother-in-law will remain a cornerstone of her personal and professional growth.
