Samsung has officially launched its much-anticipated Galaxy Tab S10 series, marking a significant leap in tablet innovation by incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) at its core. Billed as the company’s first range of Android tablets designed specifically for AI capabilities, the Galaxy Tab S10 series features two flagship models: the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra and the Galaxy Tab S10+. These cutting-edge devices come with 14.6-inch and 12.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays, respectively, and are powered by MediaTek’s advanced Dimensity 9300+ processors.

This marks a major milestone for Samsung, as it is the first time the company’s flagship tablets are powered by a MediaTek processor. With this new series, Samsung aims to redefine how users interact with tablets by enabling faster, more responsive AI-driven features and an enhanced overall performance.

Enhanced performance with mediatek dimensity 9300+

The heart of the Galaxy Tab S10 series is the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+, which brings substantial improvements over its predecessors. According to Samsung, the new processor provides an 18% increase in CPU performance, a 28% boost in GPU performance, and a 14% enhancement in NPU (neural processing unit) performance when compared to the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. These upgrades translate into smoother multitasking, faster processing of AI-based applications, and improved overall user experience.

Samsung emphasizes that the enhanced NPU performance will allow the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra and S10+ to run AI features more efficiently. This includes everything from voice commands to visual AI tools, ensuring that the devices can handle complex operations in real-time, making them some of the most powerful tablets available today.

AI-driven features and accessories

AI is at the center of the Galaxy Tab S10 series, with Samsung introducing several new features to take full advantage of the improved hardware. One of the standout features is the dedicated Galaxy AI key, which is embedded in the Book Cover Keyboard accessory. This key provides users with a quick and seamless way to launch and interact with the AI assistant, enabling a smoother workflow.

Additionally, the tablets are designed to function as home AI devices, supporting Samsung’s SmartThings ecosystem. With a new 3D Map View, users can get a visual overview of their connected devices and manage them through the tablet, making it a central hub for smart home automation.

For those who regularly use the S Pen, Samsung has introduced Air Command with AI, which allows users to access the AI assistant’s functionalities without navigating through multiple menus. This feature is particularly useful for tasks that require quick input, making it easier to interact with AI features through gestures and commands.

Advanced productivity tools

The Galaxy Tab S10 series also introduces new productivity tools powered by AI. One notable feature is the PDF Overlay Translation, which allows users to translate content within PDFs through an on-screen overlay. This could be particularly useful for professionals and students working with documents in multiple languages.

Another feature is Handwriting Help, designed to clean up and polish handwritten notes, making them more readable. This tool is ideal for users who prefer taking notes by hand but want the clarity of typed text.

Samsung has also brought the Sketch to Image tool, first introduced on the Galaxy Z Fold 6, to the Galaxy Tab S10 series. This tool uses generative AI to convert rough sketches into theme-based images, providing creative professionals with more design possibilities.

Specifications: Galaxy Tab S10 ultra and S10+

Both models in the Galaxy Tab S10 series boast impressive hardware specifications.

With the launch of the Galaxy Tab S10 series, Samsung has raised the bar for Android tablets, blending cutting-edge hardware with AI-driven software to deliver a more intelligent, efficient, and feature-rich experience.
