Meghalaya police admit card 2024 out: Here’s how to check and download

The Meghalaya Police has officially released the admit cards for the 2024 Constable and Sub-Inspector Recruitment Physical Efficiency Test (PET) on Monday, November 11, 2024. Candidates who applied for these positions can now access and download their hall tickets by visiting the official Meghalaya Police website at megpolice.gov.in.

The department also announced the release of the PET admit cards on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), sharing a direct link to help candidates access their admit cards swiftly.

Meghalaya police recruitment 2024: Filling 2,968 vacancies

The Meghalaya Police recruitment drive is set to fill a total of 2,968 vacancies across multiple roles in the department. These include:

  • Unarmed Branch Sub-Inspectors (UBSI): 76 vacancies
  • Unarmed Branch Constables: 720 vacancies
  • Firemen: 195 vacancies
  • Driver Firemen: 53 vacancies
  • Fireman Mechanics: 26 vacancies
  • MPRO Operators: 205 vacancies
  • Signal/BN Operators: 56 vacancies
  • Constables: 1,494 vacancies
  • Driver Constables: 143 vacancies

Each admit card includes essential information for candidates, including the date, time, and location of the Physical Efficiency Test. Candidates must bring a printed copy of their admit card to the PET venue.

Meghalaya police’s announcement on social media

The Meghalaya Police made the announcement on X, informing candidates of the availability of the admit card link. The post read:

“Admit Card link for Meghalaya Police PET is now live! Download yours at megpolice.gov.in for details on test centres, dates & shifts.”

Candidates are encouraged to download their admit cards at the earliest, as the website may experience high traffic due to a large number of applicants. Currently, there have been reports that the official website is temporarily down due to high demand, and the download link is expected to stabilize soon.

Steps to download Meghalaya police PET admit card 2024

To download the PET admit card for Meghalaya Police Recruitment 2024, candidates can follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to megpolice.gov.in.
  2. Locate the Download Link: On the homepage, find the link for “Download PET Admit Card.”
  3. Enter Application Information: Provide your application credentials, such as registration number and date of birth, to log in.
  4. Download and Print: Once logged in, download the admit card and print a clean copy to carry on the exam day.

It is advised that candidates double-check all information on their admit cards, including personal details, test center, and the schedule for accuracy.

Selection process for Meghalaya police recruitment 2024

The selection process for the Meghalaya Police Recruitment 2024 is divided into three stages:

  1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): The first stage involves the PET, carrying a total of 100 marks. This phase assesses candidates’ physical fitness through various exercises and activities relevant to police duties.
  2. Written Examination: Candidates who pass the PET will advance to the written examination, which has a maximum score of 300 marks. This test covers general knowledge, reasoning, and other subjects essential for the roles.
  3. Personal Interview: The final stage is a personal interview, valued at 50 marks, which helps evaluate candidates’ suitability for the position in terms of communication skills, integrity, and commitment.

Salary details for selected UB sub-inspectors

For candidates selected for the role of Unarmed Branch Sub-Inspector (UBSI), the monthly pay scale ranges from Rs 37,800 to Rs 86,400 at pay level 11. In addition to the base salary, employees are eligible for various allowances and benefits, making this a sought-after position within the Meghalaya Police force.
