Cruz Beckham has made a quiet but pointed gesture towards his estranged older brother Brooklyn, posting a childhood photo of the two of them together with Romeo despite the rift that has divided the Beckham family for more than a year.
A Family Divided
Brooklyn, 27, has not spoken to his parents David and Victoria, or to his siblings Cruz, Romeo and Harper, since he publicly accused the family of trying to undermine his marriage to Nicola Peltz. The chef has reportedly gone as far as instructing his parents to communicate with him only through lawyers, and has blocked family members on social media.
Tension is understood to date back to Brooklyn and Nicola’s 2022 wedding, with reports suggesting friction on the day itself. Cruz previously addressed the social media block directly, saying the family “woke up blocked” without warning.
A Sunday Surprise
The gesture came as part of a wider set of holiday photos Cruz, 21, shared to Instagram on Sunday, which also included pictures with girlfriend Jackie Apostel, 30. Tucked among them was an old snapshot of the three Beckham brothers as children, captioned simply “Brothers” with a blue heart emoji — a notably warm message given the family’s ongoing silence.
Marking a New Anniversary
The estrangement has also changed how Brooklyn and Nicola mark their relationship. The couple have chosen to publicly celebrate the anniversary of their vow renewal rather than their original 2022 wedding, which the Beckham family did not attend. A source suggested the first wedding is not remembered fondly, while the smaller renewal ceremony, attended only by Nicola’s family and close friends, is seen as the happier occasion going forward.
Whether Cruz’s throwback post signals any genuine thaw in relations remains to be seen, but for fans watching the long-running feud, it’s the first sign of warmth from either side in some time.
