The battle for a place in next season’s Scottish Premiership reaches its conclusion on Monday night as St Mirren host Partick Thistle in the second leg of the Premiership play-off final at SMiSA Stadium.
The tie remains finely balanced after a 1-1 draw in the first leg at Firhill. St Mirren opened the scoring through Killian Phillips before Partick Thistle responded in the second half with an equaliser from Aidan Fitzpatrick, leaving everything to play for in Paisley.
Kick-off is scheduled for 8pm, with the match being broadcast live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football. Fans will also be able to follow the action via the Sky Go streaming service.
The stakes could hardly be higher. Victory would secure a place in the 2026/27 Premiership campaign, while defeat would mean another season in the Championship. Should the aggregate score remain level after 90 minutes, the contest will move to extra time and, if necessary, penalties.
St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson continues to deal with several injury concerns ahead of the decisive clash. Goalkeepers Shamal George and Ryan Mullen remain unavailable, alongside Declan John, Keanu Baccus, Malik Dijksteel and striker Jonah Ayunga.
Partick Thistle also have selection issues. Loan players Oisin Smith and Fraser Taylor are ineligible to face their parent club, while Ben Stanway remains a doubt after missing the first leg through injury.
The occasion is expected to generate a vibrant atmosphere at SMiSA Stadium as supporters from both sides look ahead to a dramatic conclusion to the play-off campaign.
Referee Nick Walsh will oversee proceedings, assisted by Daniel McFarlane and Calum Spence, while John Beaton will operate VAR duties.
