What’s new in Fun touch OS 15?

With FunTouchOS 15, Vivo is bringing significant improvements across the board, focusing on performance, visuals, and user experience enhancements. Some of the standout features include:

Performance Enhancements

  • Priority Scheduling Algorithm: Vivo has replaced Android’s existing ‘Fair Scheduling’ system with its own ‘Priority Scheduling’ model, which intelligently allocates computing power to enhance overall performance. This change reportedly increases app opening speed by up to 15% on supported devices.
  • Memory Enhancement Technology: The new OS version introduces Memory Enhancement Technology, which optimizes the usage of the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) and reduces memory consumption for background applications, making multitasking smoother.

Visual and UI updates

  • System-Wide Redesign: FunTouchOS 15 brings a fresh look with new animations, improved visual effects, and enhanced responsiveness. The system has been updated with redesigned system colours, fonts, icons, and illustrations, offering a more cohesive and modern aesthetic.

  • Ultra Game Mode: The revamped Ultra Game Mode now includes a sidebar with a performance panel, customizable game tools, and a new Game Small Window feature that enables quick access to messaging and social apps without disrupting gameplay.
  • Improved Link to Windows: Enhancing the connection between Vivo smartphones and Windows PCs, the updated Link to Windows feature allows for faster file sharing and better device synchronization, making it easier for users to move between devices.

How to Install FunTouchOS 15

If you own a Vivo or iQOO device that’s eligible for the FunTouchOS 15 update, here’s how you can install it:

With FunTouchOS 15, Vivo and iQOO are looking to provide their users with a richer Android experience, packed with new features, a polished interface, and performance boosts that will keep devices running smoothly. As the rollout progresses, more devices will be able to enjoy the latest that Vivo’s software team has to offer, keeping pace with the rapid evolution of Android and the mobile landscape.
