Meeting with Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje highlights the importance of women’s welfare, justice and institutional support
NEW DELHI: In an important moment for Nari Shakti Forum, a meeting was held with Smt. Shobha Karandlaje, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Labour & Employment, in New Delhi, providing an opportunity to highlight the organisation’s work and bring important concerns affecting women to the attention of national leadership.
Dr. P. Sudhakar Reddy, Former Co-in-Charge for Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, was also acknowledged for his association with initiatives promoting women’s welfare, social awareness and empowerment. His contribution and support reflect the importance of collective leadership and collaboration in advancing the cause of women’s rights, dignity and justice.

During the meeting, representatives of Nari Shakti Forum outlined the organisation’s activities, initiatives and support services, explaining its commitment to advocating for women’s rights, addressing individual concerns and promoting justice, dignity and empowerment.
A particular focus of the discussion was the Renukamma case, which was brought to the Minister’s attention. The circumstances and concerns surrounding the matter were explained, with a request for appropriate attention and intervention. Given the Minister’s connection to Karnataka, a further request was made for her to bring the matter to the attention of DCP Apte.
The Minister was briefed on the importance of ensuring that women’s concerns receive appropriate consideration and that those seeking justice are not left without support.
According to Nari Shakti Forum, the Minister appreciated the organisation’s efforts and expressed encouragement regarding its activities and initiatives. The positive response provided further motivation for the Forum to continue its work supporting women and raising concerns that deserve attention.
Advocacy That Goes Beyond Words
For Nari Shakti Forum, women’s empowerment is not simply a slogan. It involves listening to women, understanding their circumstances, raising concerns with the appropriate authorities and encouraging institutional accountability.
The organisation believes that every woman deserves to be treated with dignity, have her voice heard and receive fair consideration when seeking justice.
Engagement with public representatives and government officials is an important part of this process. It creates opportunities to bring individual cases and wider social concerns into discussions with those who may be able to facilitate appropriate action.
Continuing the Mission
The meeting in New Delhi represents an encouraging opportunity for Nari Shakti Forum to strengthen its advocacy and continue highlighting matters affecting women.
The Forum remains committed to promoting women’s welfare, supporting those seeking justice and encouraging a society in which women can live with dignity, security and equal opportunities.
As the organisation continues its work, its message remains clear:
Nari Shakti Forum — Standing for Women’s Rights, Justice, Dignity and Empowerment.
