Lava International, the Indian smartphone manufacturer, has unveiled its latest offering, the Agni 3, featuring a unique dual-display design and an innovative “Action Key” reminiscent of Apple’s functionality on the iPhone. This smartphone is tailored for tech enthusiasts looking for customizable features and premium display technology, promising a blend of functionality and style.

Key features of the lava Agni 3

The Lava Agni 3 is designed to impress with its dual-display setup. The main display is a 6.78-inch 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED screen boasting a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring an immersive viewing experience whether for gaming or streaming content. The smartphone also sports a secondary 1.74-inch AMOLED display located at the back, adjacent to the camera module. This additional screen allows users to view notifications, image previews from the main camera, and manage calls without needing to open the phone. It boasts a resolution of 336 x 480, making it functional yet compact.

Customizable action key

One of the standout features of the Lava Agni 3 is its customizable Action Key. Lava claims that this button can execute over 100 different shortcut combinations using short, long, and double presses. Users can personalize this key to perform various tasks, such as acting as a shutter for the camera, toggling between silent and ring modes, launching apps, controlling music, or even turning on the flashlight. This level of customization adds a unique touch to the smartphone, appealing to users who appreciate personalizing their devices.

Pricing and availability

The Lava Agni 3 is priced competitively in the Indian market, with several variants available:

  • 8GB RAM + 128GB storage (with charger bundled): ₹22,999
  • 8GB RAM + 128GB storage (without charger): ₹20,999
  • 8GB RAM + 256GB storage: ₹24,999

The smartphone comes in two elegant colors: Heather Glass and Pristine Glass.

Currently, the Lava Agni 3 is available for pre-booking on Amazon India. Customers can secure their devices by paying a token amount of ₹499, which can be redeemed as an Amazon Pay balance or gift card upon purchase. General availability is set to begin on October 8. To celebrate the launch, Lava is offering enticing bank discounts: ₹1,000 off on the 128GB variant without a charger and ₹2,000 off on the other models.

Technical specifications

Under the hood, the Lava Agni 3 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X processor, which is coupled with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM. It offers two storage options: 128GB and 256GB, both using UFS 3.1 technology for fast read and write speeds. The smartphone is equipped with a robust 5,000mAh battery that supports rapid 66W wired charging, ensuring that users can quickly power up their devices.

It supports 14 5G bands, ensuring users can take advantage of the latest network technologies. Additionally, the smartphone features Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4 for enhanced connectivity. The stereo speaker system, complete with Dolby Atmos support, ensures an immersive audio experience for media playback.
