Chinese smartphone brand iQOO has officially confirmed that its much-awaited flagship smartphone, the iQOO 13, will be launched in India on December 3. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the company revealed that the device will be available exclusively on Amazon India and its own online store. As the launch date approaches, the excitement surrounding the device has been building, with several key specifications already revealed.

The iQOO 13, which was first launched in China last month, is expected to closely mirror the features of its Chinese variant. The listing page for the device is now live on Amazon India, giving prospective buyers a closer look at what to expect from the upcoming flagship. This includes details about the phone’s design, display, processing power, camera setup, and more.

Display and Design

The iQOO 13 is equipped with a massive 6.82-inch AMOLED display, offering an impressive 3168×1440 resolution. The screen is capable of a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, ensuring an ultra-responsive experience for gaming, scrolling, and media consumption. The AMOLED technology promises vibrant colors and deep blacks, making it ideal for an immersive viewing experience. Additionally, the phone features a flat display design, similar to its predecessor, the iQOO 12.

For security, the iQOO 13 incorporates an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, providing fast and secure unlocking of the device. The phone also continues iQOO’s commitment to modern design, with a sleek and slim profile that measures 8.13mm in thickness and weighs 207g.

Performance and Processing Power

The iQOO 13 is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite system-on-chip (SoC), which is designed to deliver exceptional performance, especially for heavy tasks like gaming and multitasking. This chipset is paired with a secondary “Q2” chip, designed to enhance gaming performance further, ensuring a seamless experience even with resource-intensive games.

In terms of RAM, the iQOO 13 comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, offering a smooth multitasking experience and the ability to run multiple apps and games simultaneously without any noticeable lag. The device also provides a massive storage option, with up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, making it perfect for users who need ample space for apps, games, photos, and videos.

Camera Setup

The iQOO 13 is designed to deliver a powerful imaging experience with its impressive triple-camera setup on the rear. The primary camera is a 50MP sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), ensuring clear and stable shots even in low-light conditions or while moving. Alongside the primary sensor, there is a 50MP ultra-wide lens that offers a broader field of view for capturing landscapes or group photos. The third camera is a 50MP telephoto lens capable of 30x digital zoom, allowing users to get closer to the action without losing detail.

For selfies, the iQOO 13 is equipped with a 32MP front camera, perfect for high-quality self-portraits and video calls. The front camera also benefits from AI-enhanced features, including beautification and portrait modes.

Battery and Charging

To keep the device powered throughout the day, the iQOO 13 comes with a large 6150mAh battery. This sizable battery ensures that the device can handle even the most demanding usage without running out of power. Additionally, the iQOO 13 supports 120W fast wired charging, allowing the device to charge from 0 to 100% in under 30 minutes, making it ideal for users who are always on the go.

Software and Other Features

The iQOO 13 will run on Android 15-based OriginOS, offering a customized and user-friendly interface with several unique features. This operating system promises an intuitive experience with enhancements that allow users to personalize their device further and improve overall functionality.

Dimensions and Build

As mentioned earlier, the iQOO 13 comes with a sleek profile, measuring just 8.13mm in thickness and weighing 207g. Despite its large display and powerful hardware, the device maintains a relatively slim and lightweight design, making it comfortable to hold and use for extended periods.

With the iQOO 13’s impressive specifications, including a 144Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, up to 16GB of RAM, and a versatile triple-camera setup, it is poised to be a formidable contender in the flagship smartphone market in India. The device promises top-tier performance, exceptional gaming capabilities, and a premium design, making it an exciting option for tech enthusiasts and gamers alike. The iQOO 13 will be available for purchase on Amazon India and iQOO’s online store starting December 3, with eager customers looking forward to the official launch.
