Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], October 3: The World Trade Centers Association® (WTCA®), a leading global trade organization that connects over 300 World Trade Center® (WTC®) locations across nearly 100 countries, is set to host its 2024 WTCA Member Forum from October 27-29 in New York City. With the theme PIONEER the Global Network: Pathways for Innovation, Opportunity, Networking, Empowerment, Excellence, and Resilience, this year’s forum will focus on WTCA’s reinvigorated brand and innovative tools designed to empower its vast membership and enhance international collaboration.

This annual three-day flagship event will bring together WTCA members, global trade experts, and real estate development industry leaders for a dynamic series of panels, interactive workshops, and discussions. The event aims to provide participants with the necessary tools to navigate the ever-evolving global trade environment while fostering international partnerships to shape the organization’s future.

A platform for innovation and collaboration

WTCA’s 2024 Member Forum will emphasize WTCA’s renewed commitment to advancing global economic development, adapting to modern challenges, and fostering the next generation of leadership. With the association’s ambitious goal of expanding its network to 500 members, this event is a key opportunity for participants to contribute to WTCA’s growth trajectory and explore cutting-edge initiatives.

One of the central themes this year is the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in global trade. The forum will explore how AI is revolutionizing business operations, streamlining trade processes, and enhancing economic development strategies. Attendees will also dive into other pressing topics, including addressing generational differences in the workplace, practical skills development, and revenue generation strategies for WTCA member companies.

John E. Drew, Chair of WTCA’s Board of Directors, underscored the significance of this annual gathering: “The annual Member Forum is more than just a collective gathering—it is a catalyst for growth and innovation within our expansive global network. It also helps us to envision and expand on internal initiatives that build the framework for an even stronger association in the years to come.”

Drew also highlighted the importance of this year’s discussions around AI, noting, “As AI is reshaping the future of the global trade industry, this year’s Member Forum will provide a collective opportunity for us to embrace this technology as a valuable opportunity to enhance our collective work in economic development and streamline operations at WTC businesses around the world.”

Shaping the future of international trade

With its long-standing mission to “connect businesses globally,” WTCA is committed to providing its members with the resources, knowledge, and partnerships needed to thrive in the international marketplace. The 2024 Member Forum is designed to unite the WTCA community in a shared goal of innovation and excellence, helping its members stay ahead in an increasingly competitive global economy.

Crystal Edn, WTCA’s Executive Director of Member Services, emphasized the collaborative nature of the event: “Each year, our annual Member Forum brings remarkable new partnerships, ideas, and opportunities for our global WTCA members. Our goal for this year’s event is to spark ongoing conversations that extend well beyond the Forum.”

Edn added, “The gathering of our members not only highlights their achievements but also strengthens the role of our network in innovating the future of international trade by ‘Connecting Businesses, Globally.'”

The Member Forum will also place a spotlight on practical solutions to challenges faced by WTCA member companies. Workshops and discussions will focus on revenue generation strategies, enhancing operational efficiency, and developing leadership skills. Additionally, the forum will provide a platform for exchanging best practices and case studies from different World Trade Center locations, reinforcing WTCA’s mission to empower its members through collaboration.

Countdown to WTCA’s 55th global business forum

Another highlight of the 2024 WTCA Member Forum will be the official countdown to the highly anticipated 55th Annual WTCA Global Business Forum, set to take place from April 6-9, 2025, in Marseille, France. Hosted by WTC Marseille Provence, the event is expected to attract global business leaders and further solidify WTCA’s role as a key player in international trade and real estate development.

The WTCA Member Forum has consistently attracted significant participation from across its global network. The 2022 and 2023 forums saw over 140 member businesses from more than 50 countries and territories come together. This year’s event promises to continue this legacy, offering unparalleled networking opportunities, knowledge sharing, and the chance to collaborate on innovative projects.

By focusing on innovation, leadership, and adaptability, WTCA is poised to strengthen its global network and remain at the forefront of international trade and business development for years to come.

A platform for global economic empowerment

With the world’s trade and business landscape rapidly evolving, the WTCA Member Forum remains a critical event that empowers its members to stay connected, share insights, and foster meaningful partnerships. As international markets become more intertwined and technologies like AI reshape industries, WTCA’s global network is committed to driving forward-looking initiatives that promote growth, innovation, and opportunity for businesses around the world.

The 2024 WTCA Member Forum will undoubtedly serve as a launchpad for new ideas, collaborations, and solutions, all with the goal of advancing the global economy by “Connecting Businesses, Globally.”
