New album rushmere marks band’s first release in seven years

Folk-pop icons Mumford & Sons have announced a special ‘intimate’ world tour for 2025, marking their first UK performance in six years. The March’s Intimate Global Club Tour will see the band perform across nine cities worldwide, with their only UK show scheduled for London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town on March 11.

This marks the first UK tour date since 2019, following their last performance in the country at Portsmouth’s Victorious Festival in 2023.

The announcement comes alongside news of the band’s highly anticipated new album, Rushmere—their first studio release in seven years—which is set to launch on March 28, 2025.

A return to their roots

With a reputation for sweeping stadium tours, the decision to embark on an intimate club tour signals a return to the raw, acoustic energy that originally defined Mumford & Sons.

The band will visit Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, Sydney, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, and New York, giving fans across the world a rare opportunity to experience their music up close.

The O2 Forum Kentish Town gig promises to be a special moment for UK fans, offering an exclusive and rare chance to see the band in an intimate setting.

The first album since Winston Marshall’s departure

Rushmere will be the band’s first album since the departure of Winston Marshall, who left Mumford & Sons in 2021.

Marshall, who was the band’s banjoist and lead guitarist, is the son of GB News owner Sir Paul Marshall. His exit followed controversy over a tweet, in which he praised US writer Andy Ngo’s book Unmasked: Inside Antifa’s Radical Plan to Destroy Democracy.

The tweet, which was later deleted, caused widespread backlash, leading Marshall to describe his departure as a “difficult decision first brought about by an unintentional Twitter storm.”

Since his exit, Marcus Mumford, Ted Dwane, and Ben Lovett have continued as a trio, evolving their sound while maintaining their signature folk-rock identity.

Mumford & sons’ legacy

Since their formation in 2007, Mumford & Sons have achieved remarkable success, including:

  • Five UK Top 40 singles
  • Two UK number one albums
  • Two Grammy Awards
  • Two Brit Awards

They are best known for chart-topping hits like I Will Wait, Little Lion Man, and Believe, which have cemented their place as one of the UK’s most successful contemporary bands.

Exclusive fan access and ticket sales

Members of Agora, Mumford & Sons’ official fan community, will receive priority access to tickets starting February 13. The general sale will begin at 10am on February 14, giving fans a chance to secure tickets before they inevitably sell out.

Mumford & sons 2025 tour dates

  • March 5 – Melkweg, Amsterdam
  • March 7 – Élysée Montmartre, Paris
  • March 9 – Metropol, Berlin
  • March 11 – O2 Forum Kentish Town, London
  • March 17 – Sydney Opera House, Sydney
  • March 20 – Hollywood Palladium, Los Angeles
  • March 22 – Chicago Theatre, Chicago
  • March 23 – Allied Music Centre Massey Hall, Toronto
  • March 26 – Brooklyn Paramount, New York

With a new album, a world tour, and a fresh direction, 2025 is set to be a pivotal year for Mumford & Sons—bringing them back to the stage and closer to their fans than ever before.
