Nita and Mukesh Ambani spotted enjoying a quiet nighttime stroll in Switzerland with minimal security

Billionaire Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, and his wife, Nita Ambani, were recently captured on video enjoying a serene nighttime stroll in Switzerland. The undated video, shared by an Instagram fan page, has since gone viral, showing the power couple in a rare moment of public relaxation away from the bustling corporate world and media glare.

In the video, Nita Ambani is seen dressed in a stylish red co-ord set, while Mukesh Ambani, known for his preference for formal attire, is clad in a crisp suit. What caught the attention of many was the couple’s choice to walk with minimal security, a stark contrast to the extensive security detail typically associated with one of the world’s richest families. The relaxed setting highlights a different side of the Ambanis, who are usually seen in the limelight at high-profile events and surrounded by heavy security.

Switzerland is a favored destination for the Ambani family, known for its picturesque landscapes and luxury resorts. The Ambanis have previously been spotted vacationing in the European country. In September 2020, Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani, their three children, and their respective partners stayed at the ultra-luxurious Bürgenstock Resort. The resort is renowned for its exclusivity and breathtaking views of Lake Lucerne.

The Bürgenstock Resort, where the Ambani family stayed, is the epitome of luxury. Jonas Reif, the resort’s spokesperson, told Insider that the Presidential suite starts at $28,000 per night, while the Royal suite costs $46,000 per night. This means that during their stay, the Ambanis were spending a minimum of $74,000 per night, or approximately ₹62 lakh, to enjoy the resort’s lavish amenities. The Bürgenstock Resort boasts four hotels, two spas, and ten bars and restaurants, providing a perfect retreat for the family.

Switzerland also holds a special place in the Ambani family’s memories as the venue for their elder son Akash Ambani’s pre-wedding festivities in 2019. The pre-wedding celebrations for Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta were held in the charming Swiss town of St. Moritz. The “Winter Wonderland” themed event was a star-studded affair, attended by Bollywood celebrities like Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Karan Johar, among others. The event was a testament to the Ambanis’ penchant for grand celebrations in exotic locations.

Mukesh and Nita Ambani’s recent European sojourn follows the high-profile wedding of their younger son, Anant Ambani. After the wedding, the couple flew to Europe, where they spent time in Paris during the Summer Olympics 2024. Nita Ambani, who is the chairperson of Reliance Foundation, was in Paris for a significant reason. She had been unanimously re-elected as a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) from India during the global Olympic body’s 142nd session in the French capital.

This quiet stroll in Switzerland serves as a reminder that even the most influential and wealthy individuals seek moments of peace and normalcy. For the Ambanis, Switzerland not only offers luxury and privacy but also a chance to unwind and create lasting family memories. As the video continues to circulate on social media, it gives fans and followers a glimpse into the personal lives of one of India’s most powerful couples, showing that behind the wealth and fame, they, too, enjoy simple pleasures like a peaceful walk on a cool Swiss night.
