On October 4, the much-anticipated first song titled Raanjhan from the upcoming Netflix film Do Patti was officially released. Directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi, the film features a stellar cast, including renowned actress Kajol, Kriti Sanon, and popular television star Shaheer Sheikh, alongside Tanvi Azmi in supporting roles.

The song Raanjhan delves into the emotional turmoil that follows a breakup, capturing feelings of pain and longing through its poignant lyrics and soothing melody. The narrative surrounding the film has already sparked significant interest, particularly the complex dynamic between the two sisters vying for the affection of the same man. This unique premise has left fans eager for more, teasing a sultry romance intertwined with impending heartbreak.

About the song

In the music video for Raanjhan, Shaheer Sheikh’s acting prowess shines as he embodies the feelings of a broken heart. His connection with both sisters adds layers to the narrative, amplifying the emotional stakes of their separation. As the video unfolds, it reveals that Shaheer’s character ultimately marries one of the sisters, escalating the tension between the siblings. Kriti Sanon, on the other hand, captures the essence of anger and betrayal, showcasing her character’s struggle amidst the turmoil. The dual perspectives presented in the song create a compelling portrayal of the emotional complexities at play.

Shaheer Sheikh, making his Bollywood debut with this film, has already garnered a massive fanbase in the television industry through shows such as Navya, Yeh Rishte Hain Pyaar Ke, Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi, and Mahabharat. His transition to film is highly anticipated, and the song Raanjhan is a testament to his charm and vulnerability in this new role. Similarly, this project marks Kriti Sanon’s first foray as a producer, adding an exciting dimension to her already impressive career.

Do Patti: About the film

The film follows their journey as they navigate the complexities of love and rivalry, all while a determined police investigator works to unravel the truth behind an attempted murder case. Written by Kanika Dhillon, known for her knack for creating engaging narratives, the film is directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi, who is committed to delivering a gripping tale.
