Hyderabad, Telangana — For 25 single mothers and widowed women, a job opportunity has become more than a step towards employment; it is a chance to rebuild confidence, strengthen their families and look towards the future with renewed hope.
In a heartening initiative to promote women’s empowerment and economic independence, the Nari Shakti Forum organised a special Job Mela at the Press Club in Hyderabad, helping 25 women secure employment opportunities as part of a pilot project dedicated to supporting women facing some of life’s most challenging circumstances.
The initiative, led by Dr Mohammed Nizamuddin, founder and chairman of Bharat Ke Anmol, Goadh Foundation, Devanagari and Nari Shakti Forum, places dignity, self-reliance and opportunity at the heart of women’s welfare. Its central message is simple yet powerful: every woman deserves the opportunity to stand on her own feet and build a secure future for herself and her family.
Turning challenges into opportunities
For single mothers and women who have lost their husbands, finding stable employment can be an important step towards overcoming financial uncertainty and rebuilding their lives. Beyond earning a livelihood, a job can bring a renewed sense of purpose, independence and confidence.
Recognising these challenges, the Nari Shakti Forum has brought together employers, community leaders and supporters to help women access meaningful employment opportunities.
Through the participation of Pista House, Wissen Technologies and Amaze Team Services, 25 women received job opportunities under the pilot programme. The initiative demonstrates how collaboration between community organisations and businesses can translate goodwill into practical support for women and their families.
Rather than simply offering assistance, the programme seeks to create opportunities for women to shape their own futures with confidence and dignity.
Marking 25 Years of public service
The pilot project was launched to mark the 25-year political journey of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, from his tenure as Chief Minister in 2001 to his journey as Prime Minister, commemorating 25 years of public service between 2001 and 2026.
The initiative uses this milestone as an occasion to highlight the importance of women’s empowerment, social responsibility and inclusive development, with a particular focus on helping women who may need additional support to achieve financial independence.
Leaders and businesses come together for a common cause
The event was attended by Dr Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, who joined other distinguished guests in supporting the initiative.
Among those present were Mr Abdul Majeed, Chairman of Pista House; Shri Ashok Thatipally, CEO of Wissen Inforech; Shri Syed Youdufuddin, CEO and Managing Director of Amaze Team Services; Shri Bala Krishnan, CEO of RAP Motors; and Ms Indrani Sarkar, Associate Editor of Hindustan Samachar.
Their participation reflected the value of bringing together business leaders, community organisations and public figures to address social challenges through practical action.
The involvement of participating employers was particularly significant, showing how businesses can contribute to a more inclusive society by opening doors to women seeking a fresh start.
More than a job — A step towards dignity
For the Nari Shakti Forum, the success of the Job Mela is not measured by employment figures alone. It is also about the confidence a woman gains when she knows she can support her children, manage her household and make decisions about her future.
Dr Mohammed Nizamuddin’s initiative seeks to make employment a pathway to dignity, independence and renewed hope. By connecting women with potential employers, the programme aims to help turn difficult personal circumstances into opportunities for a brighter tomorrow.
The placement of 25 women marks the first step in a pilot initiative that could provide a foundation for similar programmes in the future. With continued support from employers, community leaders and socially responsible organisations, the model has the potential to reach more women and create lasting benefits for families and communities.
Building a future where every woman matters
The Nari Shakti Forum aims to continue championing women’s economic independence by promoting employment, encouraging collaboration with businesses and creating opportunities for women to participate more fully in society.
Its message is one of compassion and empowerment: women who have faced loss or hardship should not be defined by their circumstances, but supported in their efforts to build a better future.
The Hyderabad Job Mela is a reminder that meaningful change can begin with a single opportunity — and that when communities come together to open doors, the impact can reach far beyond the workplace.
For 25 women in Hyderabad, that opportunity represents a new beginning: one built on hope, dignity and the promise of a more independent future.
