An anonymous message directed to Mumbai traffic control warned that Khan’s life would be in danger if he didn’t pay a ransom of Rs 2 crore, according to police sources. According to a report by India Today, the threatening message received by Mumbai Traffic Police demanded that Khan immediately pay the hefty amount to avoid harm. Following this, the Worli Police in Mumbai swiftly registered a case against an unidentified individual, launching a detailed investigation to trace the origin of the message. While the identity of the sender remains unknown, authorities are actively probing the threat in coordination with specialized investigation teams.
The latest threat against Salman Khan has heightened fears, especially as it follows closely on the heels of a recent arrest in another case involving threats to both Khan and MLA Zeeshan Siddique, son of the late NCP leader Baba Siddique. Just a day prior to this new threat, a 20-year-old man named Mohammed Tayyab, also known as Gurfan Khan, was arrested in Noida’s Sector 39. Reports suggest that Tayyab, a resident of Delhi, was detained after allegedly making a threatening call to Zeeshan Siddique’s public relations office in Bandra East, Mumbai. The caller demanded ransom and issued menacing threats against Siddique and Salman Khan.
As part of this earlier case, an employee at Siddique’s office filed a complaint, leading Mumbai Police to register a case at the Nirmal Nagar police station. After identifying Tayyab as the suspect, a transit remand was secured to transport him to Mumbai for further interrogation. Investigators are now analyzing whether there are connections between the two threats or if they stem from different sources.
The latest developments continue a pattern of menacing threats targeting Salman Khan. Just days before this Rs 2 crore ransom demand, the Mumbai traffic police control room received a message from an individual claiming to be linked to the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. This message, which demanded a staggering Rs 5 crore from Khan, warned that if he didn’t comply, he would face a fate similar to that of his close friend, Baba Siddique, who was tragically killed by the same gang. Although the sender later followed up with an apologetic message, claiming the initial text was mistakenly sent, Mumbai Police took no chances. Investigators tracked the message back to Jharkhand and quickly mobilized a team to locate and apprehend the sender.

After tracing the sender’s location, authorities arrested a vegetable seller identified as Shaikh Hussain Shaikh Mausin from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. According to a report from PTI, Mausin was taken into custody for his alleged involvement in sending the initial threatening message to Khan. Mumbai Police are currently questioning him, along with other potential associates, to understand whether the recent threats are part of an orchestrated campaign or isolated incidents meant to terrorize the Bollywood icon.
